Course Description

This course is available to IBEW 424 members who are eligible for Education Benefits.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The objective of this 16-hour introductory course is to become familiar with the concepts and equipment that makes up a P.V. installation. We will examine the principles and effects of photovoltaic and solar radiation in relation to a P.V. system. You will also learn about the different types of interactive P.V. systems, assess the components of a P.V. system, how to conduct site surveys, Canadian Electrical Code considerations and touch on P.V. design.
