Strategic Action Plan

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

As you know, following last year’s Convention in Jasper, the BTA and Affiliates began
working on a Strategic Action Plan to get more work and keep members working.
We heard from our members that steady work matters most, so we’re making important
changes to make it easier for your members to do the work they were trained to do.
It’s essential that members know changes are coming – and what to expect.
To help communicate the vision, we have put together a short video attached to this
email (linked here), and we ask that you share it with your members: in union meetings,
on your Local website, and across your social media channels.
At its core, the Strategic Action Plan is about growth: increasing market share and
building relationships so that more work is performed by Building Trades members.
Which means eliminating unnecessary barriers to getting the job done.
Again, we encourage you to distribute the video broadly and incorporate it into your
communications over the coming weeks.
In closing, there’s more to come about how the BTA and its Union Affiliates are working
together to make it easier to do the hardest work out there.
