Red Seal Preparation

This course is available to IBEW 424 members who are eligible for Education Benefits.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The Red Seal Preparation program assists members who are planning to write their inter-provincial (IP) Red Seal Exam. The course includes a series of lectures covering single dwelling and apartment calculations, three-phase theory, conduit fill calculations, conductor de-rating calculations, and power factor correction, as well as a series of practice exams.

 INTERPROVINCIAL STANDARDS RED SEAL PROGRAM

An electrician who holds a valid trade certificate from Alberta or from another Canadian Province or Territory may apply to write the Interprovincial Exam and, if successful, be granted a Red Seal under the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program.
