Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility for Education Benefits will be based on the following conditions:

IBEW Members in Good Standing with IBEW Local Union 424 that have received dispatch/clearance from IBEW 424 within the past 36 months

Prospective Members that have received clearance/dispatch through IBEW 424 are entitled to Work Ready/Site Access training including Fall Protection, Mobile Elevated Work Platform, and Common Safety Orientation. Prospective Members that require other training in addition to Work Ready/Site Access training, with IBEW 424 Membership Development, shall submit a written appeal/request to the Provincial Training Director at [email protected] 

IBEW Members in Good Standing that have not received clearance/dispatch from IBEW 424 within the past 36 months shall submit a written appeal to the Provincial Training Director at [email protected] 

For all approved courses requiring recertification, for both Members and Prospective Members who meet the Eligibility Requirements for Education Benefits, the current certification must be either expired or within 90 days of expiry to be eligible for reimbursement. For further clarification, the recertification itself, not the application for reimbursement, must be within 90 days of certification expiry.
