This course is available to IBEW 424 members who are eligible for Education Benefits.
Acquire a preliminary base of knowledge to perform field set repairs on Mineral Insulated EHT cable and understand what factors lead to cable faults and inaccurate megger readings. Gain hands-on practical instruction on how to megger test and repair M.I. cable, as well as basic troubleshooting. Students are expected to demonstrate 4 different splices at the completion of the course.

Basic PPE (Steel Toed Boots, Safety Glasses, Work Gloves, Long Sleeved Shirt, Long Pants and Hard Hat).
