OH&S laws state that “all workers who work within a confined space and all workers with related duties must receive training specific to confined spaces.”
Confined Space Entry/Monitor (OSSA) or Confined Space Entry (OH&S), 8-hour courses qualify for reimbursement.
Confined Space Entry Monitor program provides the workers who enter or monitor confined spaces with the necessary knowledge to work safely and effectively in confined spaces on the work site.

This is the ACTI National Confined Space Entry & Attending Worker Program. It is based on the ACTI Alberta confined space entry and attending worker program. The national program includes 9 additional provinces and 3 territories specific legislative requirements covering applicable OH&S, CSA & ISO standards. This program allows for mobility of workers across Canada.
On completion of this course you will know:
Basic knowledge and proficiency in the identification and classification of confined spaces and in the identification of restricted spaces
How to recognize risks and hazards of confined/restricted spaces demonstrate knowledge of methods of controlling them
How to define the duties of a confined space attending worker (monitor)
How to apply knowledge of Canadian legislation and the Code of Practice to work in each province.
