This course is 16 hours long.

There will be a power point presentation on how and why a high voltage is made the way it is, how a stress cone works, along with do’s and don’ts when working with cables to insure there are no failures.

The hands on component is where each student will install a 3M 15 KV cold shrink and Raychem 15KV heat shrink termination.

You will learn to prepare cables using your hand tools plus using specialty cable preparation tools.

In order to understand splicing techniques each student will also do a 3 Conductor 1000 V Teck Cable splice.
