Arc Flash
If you work around electricity, you know how dangerous it can be… or do you? Do you know the risks, hazards, or the possibilities for injury? This program covers low voltage electrical safety, the hazards, and the associated safe work practices.
Based on Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z462, Workplace Electrical Safety. CSA Z462 specifies requirements for, and provides guidance on: safety management systems, safe work procedures and the selection of personal protective equipment. It also includes specifics and guidance on other safety devices for persons exposed to hazards associated with working on energized electrical equipment.
Arc Flash Awareness is a 4 hour instructor lead program. Maximum participants depends on the size of room and available course materials. For successful completion, you must have 100% attendance and pass a written theory evaluation.
